Idiot's Guide to EnchantBot =========================== 1. What is EnchantBot? EnchantBot is a World of Warcraft mod or addon written for the purpose of providing enchanting information for your clients and to make your life easier. EnchantBot currently only supports English clients. 2. How does EnchantBot work? EnchantBot is a whisper based self service help system. This means that to find out information about your enchants, your clients have to send you whispers or tells. Yes to you and not to a toon named "!ebhelp"!!! This whisper must be preceeded by a whisper command. For a complete listing of whisper commands and their syntax, please see readme.txt. 3. What is a Whisper? A Whisper is also known as a tell. To send somebody a tell or whisper, enter "/t " or "/w ". 4. How to install EnchantBot? You have probably download a ZIP file. Unzip the file into your World of Warcraft\Interface\AddOns folder. You may need WinZip (http://www.winzip.com) or WinRAR (http://www.rarlabs.com) helper programs. 5. I have installed EnchantBot. What else do I need to do? Before EnchantBot can help you service your clients, EnchantBot needs to know which enchants you know. To do this, simply open your Enchanting window and in a few seconds, EnchantBot will inform you when it is done and you may close your Enchanting window. 6. What is Enchanting window? Press "P" to open your spellbook. Select "General" tab. Look for a icon labelled as "Enchanting". Click it! What you will see in a few seconds is known as the Enchanting window or frame. 7. I have learnt a new enchant. What do I need to do? As in 5., you will need to open your Enchanting window. 8. How do I know EnchantBot is working? Send yourself a whisper command e.g. "!ebsearch enchant". This should print a list of enchants that you know. 9. What are the different modes? EnchantBot operates in 3 modes: sell, tips (default) and custom. Sell mode will list prices (using Enchantrix and Auctioneer) in advertisement and search results. However you must have the reagents neccessary in your bags and you must leave Enchanting window open! Tip mode doesn't list prices, but will inform your clients that they are required to bring their own reagents and tips. Custom mode will do neither, but will inform your clients with a custom message that you may set. 10. Now that EnchantBot is working, how to I configure EnchantBot to my preference? Enter the "/eb option" slash command. 11. How do I send someone reagent list of a particular enchant? Enter the "/eb send " slash command, substituting with the person's name and with 1 or more words found in the enchant's name or description. Example "/eb send Krakhaan 15 agi weapon". 12. Where can I learn more about EnchantBot? See the readme.txt and give your brain a little workout. 13. I've found a bug! Where can I report it? What should I include? My main mod site is ui.worldofwar.net. I'll check it nearly every 1-2 days. The direct link is http://ui.worldofwar.net/ui.php?id=3642 Please be as clear as possible with your descriptions! "I keep getting spammed!" doesn't really help. Include one or more of the following: Test(s) and results (if any) Version and Mode of EnchantBot Name(s) and version of other mods or mod compilation that you are running Offending line(s) of code reported by a debugging addon such as swatter 14. Where are there bugs? I use EnchantBot primarily in TIPS mode, so other modes maybe neglected. EnchantBot has been tested with only the default Blizzard UIs and the following mods: WIM Fubar Titan Panel CraftBot Advance Broadcaster Enchantrix Auctioneer EnchantBot maybe broken by other mods especially those which manages spam or chat communications or by newer version of mods on which EnchantBot depends on but not updated for. 15. What is Advance Broadcaster? EnchantBot supports Advance Broadcaster as a optional dependency. It is not included as part of EnchantBot. Advance Broadcaster is used to announce to the realm on trade channel that you are looking to sell your enchants at a prefixed interval. See readme.txt for download locations. 16. What is Enchantrix? EnchantBot supports Enchantrix as a optional dependency and is used only in Sell mode. It is not included as part of EnchantBot. Enchantrix is used to gauge the selling price of enchants. See readme.txt for download locations.
